A remarkable ensemble of imagination and entrepreneurial talent

Since its inception in 1997 The Nicol Entrepreneurial Awards has consistently attracted some of our nation’s most celebrated and successful entrepreneurs. These individuals enthusiastically support the award program by participating as inspirational speakers or by becoming a Nicol Award Mentor.

Mentor program

A Nicol Entrepreneurial Award Mentor is a recognized and successful entrepreneur, venture capitalist, angel investor, or service professional. Mentors:

  • Volunteer their time to help Competition teams strengthen their business plans
  • Bring a wealth of experience, insight, and a potential network
  • Engage and challenge participants to help them take their business ideas and plans to the next level
  • Ensure a real-world experience is created for the Competition
  • Freely share their experiences having “been there” and “done that
